Camping
Fantastic for camping. Stove, sink, and fridge all work. The poptop roof is really a game changer, allowing you to stand up while you cook, clean, change clothes, etc.
2-burner propane stove with tank underneath.
Sink with water tank and submersible pump. Drains under vehicle / no grey water tank to empty.
Fridge runs off the propane tank too.
Swing table for cutting vegetables and eating at the bench seat.
Rooftop solar panels and deep cycle 2nd battery runs all the accessories so you don’t drain the engine starting battery. Can charge your laptop off the inverter.
2 double beds. Rear bench folds flat into the main bed with a 4-inch thick foam mattress. Upstairs is the 2nd bed under the poptop roof.
Closet with hangers and a mirror. Lots of shelves for all your things.
Driving
-Manual everything- manual transmission, manual windows, no power steering, etc.
-The previous owner swapped in another old VW engine. 2.0L air-cooled engine with dual carburetors.
-The engine starts well. Replaced everything in the starting chain - new battery, starter, alternator, etc.
-Major work done on brakes and suspension. New clutch friction plate. New tires. New gas tank, gas sensor, and fuel pump.
-I've taken her on long drives to Canmore/the Rockies, Oregon, southern California, Nevada, and Utah.
-Fun to drive!
