compensation: $18-22/hour

We have over 60 shifts available for event crew at the over-the-top exciting Tough Mudder 2019 event that’s coming to Whistler June 15 & 16! You will be helping on course – cheering and guiding competitors through those crazy obstacles. Talk about a front row seat to pure madness! Wages are $18- $22 per hour plus OVERTIME for longer shifts.

Job Details:

LOCATION: Whistler Olympic Park (5 Callaghan Valley Road, Whistler) *shuttle and carpool options will be available

DUTIES INCLUDE:
Customer service – checking in and directing participants (mostly Saturday).
Helping on course – motivating and assisting competitors through the obstacles. Cheering them on and also providing safety (mostly Sunday).
Some Event Coordinator shifts are also available.
Waste Organization Crew- helping to collect, sort and dispose of all recycling, garbage, compost etc., on the event grounds.

REQUIREMENTS: Cheery disposition, physically fit and able to be standing and moving around outside for long periods. Must be at least 17 years old.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS / ATTIRE:
Shifts will be outdoors so wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather including hat & sunscreen (hopefully!) & bring layers especially for the overnight shifts. No flip-flops please.
Food will be available for sale on site during the day; however, it is limited so bring enough snacks and food for your whole shift plus a refillable water bottle.

BONUS:
$5.00 provided per passenger for weekend shuttle; shuttle is available from Whistler Village on Saturday with no shuttle service on Sunday.
All staff will receive a shirt and a hat!


Shifts Available:
Shifts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis so sign up right away. Priority will be given to applicants who are available for the whole shift and can do both days.

Waste Station Supervisors: $20-22/hour

FRI 6/14- 12:00pm-1:00pm X 1 position
SAT 6/15- 6:30am-6:30pm X 1 position
SUN 6/16- 7:30am-6:00pm X 1 position
Waste Station Organization Crew: $19-21/hour

SAT 6/15- 6:30am-6:30pm X 7 positions
SUN 6/16- 7:30am-6:00pm X 7 positions
Course Crew: $18-20/hour

FRI 6/14 – Course Set Up 7:00am-4:00pm X 15 positions
SAT 6/15 – Check-in Crew 7:00am-11:00am X 12 positions
SUN 6/16 – Course Crew 7:00am-3:00pm X 15 positions
MON 6/17- Course Take Down 10:00am-2:00pm X 4 positions

Wage Notes:

PROGRESSIVE WAGES: New WPS Temp Employees start at the first wage posted (Tier1) then after 5 successful shifts move up $1/hr to Tier2, then after another 5 successful shifts move up another $1/hr to the top wage posted (Tier3). Successful shifts = be on time, work hard and make our clients happy. These can be in any temp position with Whistler Personnel.

END TIMES can vary and actual shifts may be shorter or longer than scheduled depending on the station you are assigned to.

BREAKS: an unpaid 30-60 minute break will be provided for shifts over 5 hours.

OVERTIME: Per the BC Labour Standards, OT rates of time and a half will be paid after you work 8 hours (excluding your breaks).
Hourly rates include 4% vacation pay that will be paid out with your wages.
