Vico Magistretti designed the Carimate bench in 1960 as part of the furnishings for the golf club in Carimate, Lombardy. The chair, with a frame of beech wood, produced with different manufacturers.This one being Mario Luigi Comi.


The design of the Carimate bench, like the armchair and Lounge chair, is partly inspired on the Scandinavian tradition combined with the Italian traditional of a wood and rush/straw seat. The open frame structure gives the Carimate bench a strong expression. It is in good condition, does have a few few marks and scuffs, well looked after for its age.
