Longtime local family searching for new Rental Home (Whistler)

We have lived in our current rental home for 13 years (first in the main part of the house with our landlords below, and now in the suite with our landlords above). We have sadly outgrown the suite with the addition of a new baby and are hoping to find something bigger that allows us to continue to live in Whistler. We love this community and can’t imagine calling anywhere else home!
I’m Marlee, I work in vacation rental management, my husband Tanner has a landscape construction background. I like to think that we are the ideal tenants to care for a home. We have two young girls, our oldest is in kindergarten at Myrtle Philip and we also have a one-year-old.
It is extremely important to us for any house we live in to feel like a home, and we take care of it with the utmost respect. Every home we have rented has always ended up in better repair and cleanliness after we leave… I am a little bit of a clean freak and like to have everything clean, organized and in good repair both inside and out.
We are both originally from Vancouver Island and go home for most holidays. In the past we have let our landlords use our home (for themselves or family/friends) when we go away and we are happy to continue to do this if it appeals to you. We go away a lot!
What we are looking for:
- 3 + bedrooms
- Home, suite, or townhome only (not a condo)
- Some sort of outside space where we can play with the kids (deck, yard etc.)
- Some sort of storage for bikes, skis and camping gear etc.
- 1-2 parking spots
- Under $4,000/month
The kicker: we also have a 5-year-old medium size dog. He is impeccably behaved, does not go up on furniture, does not noticeably shed, and does not bark.
We are absolutely 100% flexible regarding move in date, we know it may take a while to find something!
