Coast Valley Contracting Ltd. is currently seeking hardworking and reliable Construction Pipe Layers to join our growing team in Squamish, BC!
CVC’s heavy civil construction projects are primarily located within the district of Squamish.
Full-Time, permanent
Squamish, BC
Mon-Fri; 8-10 hrs/shift
$34-$37/hour (dependent on experience)
Primary Responsibilities include:
Install underground water, sewer, and storm piping systems
Reading and interpreting drawings, grade stakes, and specifications
Setting pipe to line and grade using lasers and levels
Backfilling, compaction, and site preparation
Collaborated with crew and equipment operators
Operate small tools and equipment safely (training provided where needed)
Follow safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized worksite
Co-ordinate with foreman / project manager on days tasks
Skills & Requirements:
Knowledge of municipal standards and utility installations
Ability to read grade stakes and basic construction drawings
Physical fitness and ability to work in trenches and outdoor conditions
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Familiarity with hand and power tools used in pipe installation
